As soon as you arrive at the Riverpoint, you'll be captivated by its striking dark blue and white A-frame exterior. The Riverpoint is a newly renovated modern cabin, with waterfront access, making it a perfect cabin for every season!
Stepping inside the living room, natural light floods the open concept design. A cozy fireplace sets the perfect ambience for warm conversations. Dive into entertainment with a 75-inch Roku TV and sync your vibes lounging on the huge velvet sectional.
You can whip up your favorite meal in the chef’s kitchen, which has an Italian Verona electric range with dual ovens - cook your dinner in one, dessert in the other. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with an espresso machine and Keurig coffee maker, a selection of pots, pans, and baking utensils, inviting you to explore your culinary and baking adventures.
On the main level, you'll find two bedrooms with Cal king sized beds, each beautifully designed with murals and equipped with 50-inch Roku TVs. This floor also includes a full bath, with a marble vanity and a bathtub.
Taking the floating stairs up to the second floor, the primary bedroom offers a Cal king sized bed, 55-inch Roku TV and a dedicated workspace with high speed Wi-Fi for seamless connectivity. The attached en-suite bathroom's rain shower head gives you an atmosphere reminiscent of a spa.
The second floor also offers a second bedroom with two queen sized beds, each with twin trundle beds underneath. This bedroom also has a small staircase leading to the attic loft, which includes fun decorations, a reading nook for kids, a yoga / pilates area, and a lounge area complete with bean bag chairs, disco ball and a record player.
Venturing down to the basement level, an entertainment haven awaits - challenge your friends and family to board games or an air hockey game. Prepare a tasty drink at the fully equipped bar, which has its own beverage refrigerator and a milkshake station.
Wind down after some games and turn on the 85" Google TV in the movie room with plenty of seating, blankets and pillows. Oh, and don't miss the chance to step back in time by making popcorn in the old-school kettle machine for a delightful snack during the perfect movie night!
The basement level also includes a bedroom with a full-sized bed and a twin trundle bed underneath, and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower and modern vanity.
Also in the basement level, you'll find the mudroom, complete with a washer and dryer for your convenience after returning home from your canoeing /hiking adventures. A second fireplace and a cozy blue sleeper sofa create a perfect place to curl up with a book. In addition, you will find a second dining area with bench seating.
Outdoors, enjoy your morning coffee on the deck in a bean bag chair or at the cute bistro set, and watch the sunset from the 7 person hot tub underneath the deck.
Live your best life and make sure to visit the A-frame boathouse, equipped with canoes, life-jackets, oars / paddles and access to a floating dock with a canoe launch to stay dry getting in / out of the water. Take in the tranquility of the evening from the hot tub or sit around the firepit roasting s'mores. Make sure to take a nap on the hammock next to the river or read your favorite book on the hanging peacock egg chair.

Just 24 miles south of the White House, Charles County, Maryland was listed by Conde Naste Traveler as one of best places to go in the U.S. in 2023. The scenic area is home to astonishing historic lore (go kayaking around shipwrecks dating from the Revolutionary War at Mallows Bay, a newly dedicated National Marine Sanctuary), nesting bald eagles and other bird watching, and a robust farm- and river-to-table dining scene along the Potomac.

Historic Port Tobacco Court House (2 min drive)
A naval port-of-entry for the Crown in 1685, the town remained a major port through the end of the Revolutionary War. Catslide House, Courthouse (1819) and museum are open for tours.
Port Tobacco Marina (3 min drive)
This is a marina on the Port Tobacco River near its headwaters. The facility has campsites, a restaurant, and three boat ramps. There are also rowboats and paddle boats for rent. The marina charges $6 ($7 on weekends) for use of the boat ramps.
Port Tobacco River Park (3 min drive)

Chapel Point State Park (7 min drive)

Founded in 1641, is one of the oldest Catholic Parishes in continuous service in the United States. The church is located adjacent to State Park Property.

Originally built in 1918 as a supply route for the Navy’s Indian Head Powder Factory, this elevated rail bed passes through the Mattawoman Creek stream valley. Cyclists, hikers and nature enthusiasts will experience the surroundings of mature forests, natural wetlands, and occasional farmland. Wildlife abounds! Visiting the IHRT is almost like stepping back in time.

Mallows Bay is most renowned for its “Ghost Fleet,” the partially submerged remains of more than 100 wooden steamships that were built in response to threats from World War I-era German U-boats that were sinking ships in the Atlantic.

The best way to get around is with a car. The house has a carport, a long driveway and gravel parking by the road. In total you can comfortably park about 7-8 cars.
🧻 Sensitive Septic System
The house is on a septic system and well water system. We ask guests to please not flush any items other than toilet paper to avoid any issues/fines.
🐞 Wildlife/Bugs
Expect to encounter wildlife. We regularly see deer in the neighborhood, ducks swimming in the river and many squirrels. There will be bugs! A cost of being in the woods and close to water. Consider packing bug spray, and please keep all screens to the house closed.
🚙 Parking
The house has a long driveway, carport and front gravel parking area. It can accommodate up to 7-8 vehicles.
🛶 Dock / Water Access
We live in a tidal water area, which means there are typically 2 high tides and 2 low tides per day. During low tides, there may not be enough water in the canal to use the canoes.
🦮 Pet limitations
We are unable to accommodate animals other than dogs at this time.
